The views over Route 110 were beautiful and they reminded him of home.

It was a source of the infinite sadness in him that it was very possible he would never stand on Kanto soil to over look the seas as he had on the shores of Cinnebar. As he did now here in Hoenn. To the north cyclists made their way by wheels but Senon was satisfied to traverse on foot though he hadn't moved from this spot in some time. He leaned over a balcony overlooking the grassy paths below and the ocean to the east.

So lost in his thoughts it wasn't until Croagunk finally hopped up on the ledge next to him after napping at his feet for a while that Senon Game felt the need to move on. Despite being a species he'd had no interest in before the Croagunk and its new trainer had developed a certain fondness almost over night. It had a rapport, but it still didn't have a name. "How was your nap?" Matching its trainer's stride the froggy sidekick croaked loud and confident and it made the ranger grin, the frog's once-"creepy" smile having grown on him. "Yeah, I thought you'd say that."

Sénon Game

"When it spots enemies, it threatens them by jingling the scales on its tail."

Soup remembered this from a Pokedex entry, belatedly, as he winced and covered his ears, despite the earplugs he already had in them.

"Alala!" he reprimanded. Damn, he had his earplugs in, and the noise was still unbearably loud. "What happened? Is there someone out here?"

The massive Kommo-o was seeming to glower at something in the area. Soup followed her gaze to see another man, presumably a trainer, with a Croagunk. He didn't recognize him, but Soup figured that it might be a good idea to go and apologize for the racket. He flinched as Alala rattled her scales again.

"Hey," he greeted, pulling his earplugs out of his ears with a quelling glance at Alala, who seemed to subside, even if she was still glaring at this other trainer. "Sorry for the noise. Alala here is pretty cautious."

After surviving her bout with (seemingly) the last of the Nihilego, Fennekin had taken to sleeping more often than not. He'd stirred her from her pokémon but that didn't stir her from her lethargy. He would have worried about her if not for the fact that she still followed orders quite well.

"FIRE SPIN!" A spinning circle of flame would surround the bug-type before it could fly away. More clever than most the Ledian simply flew up and out of the pillar of fire before succumbing to defeat. Of course flying away made it an easy target for long range attacks. "FIRE BLAST!"

Tracking its movements and letting the fire in her throat build the firefox's orange eyes took on an intense glow blow before belting out the pinnacle of fire attacks.

Fennekin used FIRE SPIN; its super effective!

The Pokémon classified as Five Star hit the ground, singed in defeat helpless against the tapping of a premiere ball.

Sénon Game

Before the other man replied, Alala began to jangle her scales violently again. Soup flinched. He had even come closer to the guy...

"Alala!" he began to reprimand, only to realize that she wasn't targeting this man anymore, instead staring down a massive Emboar.

She roared at the newcomer, a noise just as loud as her scales. The Emboar quailed, but didn't stop its advance, rushing at Soup and the other dude, who was occupied with a Ledian.

Luckily, Alala was more than capable of taking on the Emboar. She swung her arm at it, the Dragon Claw doing severe damage. The Emboar attempted to throw its weight around with a Heat Crash, but it had been intimidated by Alala's previous Noble Roar, and Alala was heavy, too. A few more Dragon Claws sufficed to knock out the huge fire-type.

Soup threw a Pokeball at it, partially to capture it for his own team and partially to shut Alala up, who was roaring and jangling her scales even at the fallen opponent.

"I'm seriously sorry about that," he tried again, facing the other person.

He'd been so distracted in his thoughts about Fennekin that he didn't notice the commotion breaking out next to him until the commotion was just about ended a dragon stood over an Emboar, braggadocios and rightfully so.

Its trainer trying to apologize to him for some thing. Whatever it was it couldn't have been that serious if Sénon wasn't maimed by it.

"Don't worry about it... whatever it is."

Rustling through the brush more wild pokémon called away some of his attention. Fennekin stayed near her trainer ready to face down any threat, having survived a close skirmish with a massive Nihilego that escaped into the sea. "I'll try not to get in the way again." Gently enough he bumped the man on the shoulder with his fist.

It felt like he'd been out here on this route for months.

It was probably the the right time to pack it in for the day. A wild timburr emerged from beyond the tall grass. It wasn't one on his particular "getlist" but he knew of someone who would love to have it.

He didn't need much more of a reason to capture it than that and luckily enough, his foxy companion was just the right type to take it down. "Fenne; PSYSHOCK"

Fennekin used PSYSHOCK; its super effective!
Timburr used ROCK THROW; its super effective!
Fennekin used PSYSHOCK; its super effective!

Despite getting in a good hit with its own rock-type attacks the Timburr couldn't stand up to the efforts of a psychic type with a trainer to back it and was swallowed up a pokéball it never saw coming.

Crimsen attempted to capture Timburr!
